Privacy Policy for Event Calculator

1. Data Controller & Developer Identity

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and practices of Event Calculator (the “Application” or “Service”).

The Service is operated and provided by Jarosław Paweł Jarosz, an individual developer operating under the project/brand name Keran Labs (“We”, “Us”, or “Our”), located in Poland (European Union).

2. Definitions

• Account: A unique authenticated profile created for You to sign in and use the Application.
• Application: Refers to Event Calculator, the mobile software application distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Device: Any mobile phone, tablet, or handheld computer capable of running the Application.
• Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
• Service Provider: Third-party entities utilized to facilitate hosting, analytics, and infrastructure services.
• Usage Data: Telemetry and diagnostic information collected automatically during app execution.
• You: The individual downloading, accessing, or using Event Calculator.

3. Categories of Data Collected and Processed

A. Personal Data Stored in the Cloud

When you register for an Account in Event Calculator, we collect and store only the basic account credentials required for identity verification and multi-device authentication:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address

These credentials are authenticated and stored securely using Google Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud Firestore. We do not collect your physical address, telephone number, device contacts, financial records, or government-issued IDs.

B. Calculation Data & Event Inputs (Local-Only)

All functional user entries—including calculation figures, event planners, formulas, notes, and custom parameters—are processed and saved locally on your Device. We do not transmit, back up, or analyze your calculation contents on Keran Labs servers or third-party cloud infrastructure.

C. Automatically Collected Diagnostic & Usage Data

When you use the application, certain technical and diagnostic logs may be collected automatically by the underlying operating system and development SDKs to maintain stability:

• Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version (iOS/Android).
• Application version, launch timestamps, and performance metrics.
• Crash logs, stack traces, and system diagnostic records.

4. Advertising and Analytics

A. Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate user behavior and navigation trends. This telemetry is aggregated, pseudonymized, and cannot be used by us to reconstruct your private calculation data.

B. In-App Advertising (Google AdMob)

Event Calculator may display advertisements delivered via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA or Google’s Advertising ID / AAID) to deliver relevant ads in accordance with your privacy settings and regional consent frameworks (e.g., Google UMP in the EEA).

You can reset or opt out of advertising identifiers at any time via your device settings:

• iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and turn off tracking permissions.
• Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads and select Delete advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.

5. Absence of Artificial Intelligence Processing

Event Calculator does not utilize generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning training pipelines, or automated user profiling. Your data is never analyzed by AI vendors or incorporated into model training datasets.

6. Legal Bases for Processing under GDPR (EEA / UK)

For users located within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, our processing of your personal data rests upon the lawful grounds established under Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Maintaining and authenticating your user Account to provide core app services.
• Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Diagnosing runtime crashes, securing app infrastructure, preventing fraudulent use, and ensuring stability.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Serving personalized advertising via Google AdMob where you have provided consent through the in-app consent prompt.

7. Data Retention Policy

• Account Credentials: Your name and email address are retained for as long as your Account remains active. Upon requesting account deletion, all data is permanently removed from active Firestore databases within thirty (30) days.
• Local Device Data: Because your calculation entries and custom configurations reside on your local device storage, they remain there until you reset app data or uninstall the Application.
• Diagnostic & Crash Records: Telemetry collected through Google Analytics and Crashlytics is retained for up to fourteen (14) months before automated deletion.

8. Account Management & Deletion Procedures

You have full control over your personal data and account existence:

• In-App Self-Service: You can manage your account details or initiate deletion directly from the Application’s settings screen.
• Web-Based Account Deletion: In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies, you can permanently delete your account and all associated data without opening the app by visiting our self-service deletion portal:

• Manual Request: You can also send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Account Deletion Request” from your registered account email.

9. Your Rights under GDPR & CCPA/CPRA

Subject to your local data protection laws, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access & Portability: Obtain confirmation of processing and receive an export of your cloud-stored account details.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal details.
• Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request the complete deletion of your account credentials.
• Right to Object or Restrict: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or revoke advertising consent at any time.
• Non-Discrimination: We will never deny services, degrade performance, or charge different prices for exercising your privacy rights.

10. California Disclosures (CalOPPA & CCPA/CPRA)

• Do Not Track (DNT) Signals: Because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting DNT browser signals, our web endpoints do not alter processing upon encountering DNT headers. Mobile ad tracking can be managed natively in your device settings.
• No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell your personal data to third parties for monetary compensation. Any transmission of device advertising identifiers by third-party ad networks is governed strictly by your in-app consent preferences.

11. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers that maintain stringent security standards and comply with GDPR transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses):

12. Children’s Privacy

Event Calculator is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a minor has created an account and provided personal details without proper consent, please contact us at [email protected] so we can delete the account immediately.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product updates (such as future cloud sync or subscription options) or legal requirements. Updated versions will be published to this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where changes materially impact your rights, we will provide in-app notification before the changes take effect.
