This Privacy Policy describes how Keran Labs Game Room (the “Application” or “Service”) collects, uses, retains, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, and informs you of your privacy rights under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and United States privacy frameworks (including CCPA/CPRA and CalOPPA).

Note on Artificial Intelligence: The Application does not employ, utilize, or integrate any automated decision-making engines or third-party generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.

1. Developer Identity & Data Controller

This Service is developed, owned, and operated by Jarosław Paweł Jarosz, an individual software developer operating under the independent project and brand name Keran Labs (“Developer”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), located in the European Union (Poland).

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data privacy laws, the Developer is the Data Controller responsible for your personal data.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We believe in strict data minimization. We only collect the minimal personal information required to authenticate your access and maintain the technical stability of the game room environment:

  • Account Identification Data: When you register an account, we collect strictly your:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    We do not collect physical street addresses, phone numbers, contacts, biometric data, or government-issued identifiers.
  • Technical Usage & Diagnostics Data: Collected automatically by your mobile operating system when using the Application, including basic device identifiers, operating system version, and anonymous crash logs (processed for maintenance and service reliability).

3. Device Permissions & Camera / Photo Access

The Application may request permission to access your device’s camera or photo gallery:

  • Purpose: Camera and gallery access is used exclusively when game instructions require capturing or submitting a photo related to in-game objectives.
  • Scope of Use: Photos are strictly used within the active game room session. We do not perform facial recognition, scan biometric markers, extract background metadata for profiling, or sell user images to third parties.
  • Control: You can grant or revoke camera and photo permissions at any time through your mobile device’s system settings.

4. Temporary Game Progress & Automated 12-Hour Deletion

To provide real-time interactive game room sessions, the Application stores live game state progress, temporary game scores, and objective photos via Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore:

Strict 12-Hour Ephemeral Lifecycle: Active game progress data, session states, and uploaded photo attachments are retained on Google Firebase / Firestore only for the duration of the active match and are automatically scheduled for permanent deletion within 12 hours of session creation or conclusion.

This ephemeral data does not contain persistent personal identification information and is purged automatically by automated database life-cycle triggers.

5. Third-Party Service Providers (Sub-Processors)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We rely on established infrastructure providers to securely run the Application:

  • Google Firebase & Cloud Firestore (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.): Used for backend authentication, database hosting, and temporary session storage. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest.
  • Google Analytics for Mobile: Provides aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic and interaction metrics to help maintain stability and optimize user experience.
  • Google AdMob: May serve non-personalized or contextual advertisements within the Application. Depending on your consent choices and device privacy settings, advertising identifiers (such as IDFA or Google Advertising ID) may be processed in compliance with platform rules. You can opt out of interest-based ads via your device operating system settings.
  • App Store & In-App Payments: All commercial subscription or in-app billing transactions are processed directly by Apple Inc. (Apple App Store) or Google LLC (Google Play Store). We never view, collect, or store your credit card numbers or financial account credentials.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you reside within the European Economic Area (EEA), the Developer processes your personal data under the following legal bases pursuant to Article 6 of the GDPR:

  • Contractual Performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing your name and email address is necessary to create your account, authenticate you, and deliver game functionality.
  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Ensuring game integrity, system uptime, and preventing fraudulent usage.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For device camera/photo access and personalized advertising (where applicable and granted via system dialogs). You may withdraw consent at any time.

7. Data Retention & Permanent Account Deletion

  • Account Data: Your account registration information (First Name, Last Name, Email) is retained as long as your account remains active.
  • Game Progress Data: Automatically expunged within 12 hours.
  • Account Deletion: You have the absolute right to delete your account and all associated records at any time. You can initiate instant account deletion directly within the Application settings or by visiting our verified web deletion portal:

8. Your Rights Under GDPR & International Privacy Laws

Depending on your location, you have statutory rights concerning your personal information, including:

  • Right of Access & Portability: Request confirmation and an export of personal data held about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request immediate deletion of your account and personal records.
  • Right to Restriction & Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or request restrictions on data processing.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (such as the President of the Personal Data Protection Office – UODO in Poland).

9. United States State Privacy Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA & CalOPPA)

  • No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data: We do not sell your personal data or exchange personal details with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
  • California “Do Not Track” (CalOPPA): Our systems do not alter behaviors in response to web-based Do Not Track signals. Mobile app tracking controls can be managed directly via your device’s system settings (e.g., “Ask App not to Track” on iOS).

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by EEA member state law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without parental authorization, please contact us at [email protected] so we can promptly delete the account and associated records.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
